Location is everything - and we've got it!

The Edge of the World Music Festival is held at the Tlell Fall Fairgrounds which is located across Highway 16 from Naikoon Provincial Park Headquarters and adjacent to the B.C. Parks Misty Meadows Campground. The fairgrounds are about 3 km. north of our former site and just south of the Tlell River highway bridge. Haida Gwaii is located about 60 miles west of the mainland coast of British Columbia, and about 600 miles north of Vancouver.

To get to the festival you first have to get to the islands. Pacific Coastal Airlines flies direct to Masset from Vancouver and Air Canada flies direct to Sandspit from Vancouver. The Festival will transport our off-Island guests from either location.
Americas Map B.C. Ferries runs from Prince Rupert to Skidegate Landing. Prince Rupert is a 20-hour drive from Vancouver, and there is a 30-minute drive north to the festival site from Skidegate once you arrive there. If you wish to bring a vehicle, this is the only way to do so. The ferry trip from Prince Rupert takes about 6 hours. The ferries are often full, so booking in advance is highly recommended.

If you arrive in Sandspit, you will need to get to Graham Island via Eagle Transit and the Kwuna - the small ferry that runs between Moresby and Graham Islands. The shuttle will drop you off on the Graham island side at Skidegate Landing or in Queen Charlotte. If you arrive in Masset, it is about an hour’s drive south to the festival site.

If you are coming down from Alaska or the Yukon you can always travel via the Alaska Marine Ferry Service to Prince Rupert. Check out their site from our links page.

FESTIVAL SHUTTLE SERVICE
The festival will provide one shuttle trip on Friday afternoon from Skidegate Landing to the festival and one trip back to Skidegate Landing on Monday morning. These trips are timed to serve folks arriving and departing by B.C. Ferries and Air Canada Jazz.
