This half hour dance-music-poetry drama is staged around a 50’ (18m) inflatable salmon sculpture, a incredible sculpture that has its roots here on Haida Gwaii.  In 1977, Evelyn Roth was invited to participate in an exchange of creative ideas on the day designated to commemorate the raising of Robert Davidson’s pole in Masset.  As a result, she was inspired to to create and build her first large inflatable salmon.

Boffers!

Although it looks like violence, by adhering to some simple rules we can create a safe space to explore the martial virtues that are central to this game. Witness first-hand how some people really come alive when given the chance to battle in a safe way. Men and boys seem to be especially drawn to Boffer Battling, and this activity engages children and adults alike. Boffering teaches us how to own our own martial virtues while still walking the path of peace.

Bubbles

Bubbles are fun and they remind us of the impermanence of all things.  These are the biggest bubbles you’ve ever seen!  Don’t miss the bubble demonstration, and try your hand at making the biggest bubble of the day!
