For years a hip hop star, Kinnie Starr is expanding her repertoire to include a love of song writing with tenderly paced phrasing, electric and acoustic guitars, and melodies evocative of originals like Neil Young. Honey Brown Scatterheart
Haida Gwaii, the islands of wonder inspires, creates, heals, and is home to Honey Brown. These seasoned musicians have been playing together for seven years, playing a variety of styles of music of the years from rock 'n roll, blues, jazz, Latin, and the contemporary sound of today. This band is and will always be a band for the people, and is currently in pre-production of their first album set for release in 2011.

Crabapple Creek Electric Jug Band is a group always looking for something to laugh about. Their music is just plain fun, featuring a washtub bass, harmonica, electric guitars, drums and vocals. The crossover in styles covers everything from Roots, Blues, and Gypsy to Country Swing and more. Their orginal musical style gives you the feeling that you could be in the band playing anything that works.

Dominique Fraissard
Dominique Fraissard is an admired songwriter / musician in the folk / acoustic genre with a very original twist of urban transfer to his work. Since 1997 he has appeared at numerous festivals and gigs in Australia, New Zealand and Canada and has released 3 albums, including Tabula Rasa, and 2 more are expected in 2010. His most recent festival success with standing ovation was at the 2009 Roots and Blues Festival.

FM Hi Low FM Hi Low
FM Hi Low is a unique mash up of roots and electronic music, with soulful hip-hop grooves, roots reggae riddims, and dance floor pop. Their live show is a dynamic all-ages, conscious fun fest. They bounce with their audience through sweet groovy acoustic sing alongs, and build to an all out futuristic electro dance party.

The Release Jam Band The Release Jam Band
The Release Jam Band plays grooves to warm the soul with all original music. They incorporate drum n bass, sax, flute, keys, guitar and vocal harmonies to "go everywhere from The Beatles, to Phish, to Maceo and Wilco." The Release is a jamband, playing original funky jamrock. There is no genre that is taboo, and improvised jams are expected. The audience is left with smiles in their souls.

Betsy Trumpener - Guest Literary Performer Betsy Trumpener
Betsy Trumpener is an award-winning CBC News reporter, writer and radio documentary producer. After living many places in the world, she now lives with her family in Prince George, where she covers the daily drama of British Columbia's interior. Her first book, The Butcher of Penetang was a shortlist finalist for both the ReLit award and the Writers Union of Canada Danute Gleed Literary Award for best English-language collection of short fiction. Her non-fiction and fiction writing have been published in the Guardian, the Globe and Mail, This Magazine, NOW Magazine, Monday Magazine, the Malahat Review, Event, the Queen Street Quarterly, Northword and filling Station. She was the first annual writer in residence for the CBC weekend arts show, North By Northwest, and she has been awarded a Western Magazine Award for her column, "North of Unreal," a Jack Webster Award for Best Radio Feature, and a Jack Webster Africa Journalism Fellowship.
